Together with Inoyama Land we will be in residence at the Kinosaki International Arts Center working on a new performance set making use of radios. More information is available here.
Using multiple household radios provided by local community members and FM transmitters installed inside the theater, sounds performed by the four artists—positioned throughout the space—are transmitted through the radios, emerging from different locations, overlapping and blending with one another. As the sounds continuously shift and transform, they create a fluid and ever-changing sonic landscape.
As the outcome of residency, the completed performance will be presented to the public. An artist talk will also be held to share the background of the project, as well as the artists’ creative process and research. More info available here.
This workshop will introduce the fundamentals of logic synthesis using Passepartout Duo’s free tools. Participants are invited to bring their own laptop and headphones, with the session culminating in a collective performance. More info available here.

Formado por la pianista Nicoletta Favari y el percusionista Christopher Salvito, Passepartout Duo explora el sonido desde un territorio híbrido entre composición e improvisación, acústica y electrónica. Su práctica se centra en instrumentos diseñados por ellos mismos, generando un lenguaje propio donde ritmo, timbre y proceso se vuelven protagonistas.
Con una intensidad contenida y una escucha atenta, sus directos invitan a adentrarse en la mecánica interna del sonido. En 2024 iniciaron el desarrollo del Chromaplane, un nuevo instrumento creado junto a KOMA Elektronik, expandiendo aún más su universo sonoro.

This program is part of the creative process of a performance project by Passepartout Duo, the musical duo of pianist Nicoletta Favari and percussionist Christopher Salvito, exploring the use of radio transmission technology.
While listening closely to short musical pieces and spoken descriptions transmitted through portable radios, participants are invited to take a walk together with the artists, exploring the history and landscapes of Kinosaki, as well as personal memories connected to the place.
