Une expérience sonore avec Julie Semoroz
Plongez dans une forêt collective où les animaux, le vent et les fréquences naturelles composent une symphonie vivante provenant des enregistrements de terrains de l’artiste. Laissez-vous envelopper par une sieste sonore mouvante, tissée de murmures, de résonances lointaines et de vibrations secrètes.
D’une durée de 60 minutes, cette immersion poétique transforme des sons du monde entier en un écosystème harmonieux où l’écoute active et la contemplation se répondent. Entre field recordings et musique live pour les humains et non humains, composée initialement pour les plantes de la serre du Jardin botanique de Genève dans le cadre du festival Korsonor, l’expérience invite à une reconnexion sensible avec le vivant. À vivre comme une promenade sonore, une méditation active, ou une exploration curieuse.

Formado por la pianista Nicoletta Favari y el percusionista Christopher Salvito, Passepartout Duo explora el sonido desde un territorio híbrido entre composición e improvisación, acústica y electrónica. Su práctica se centra en instrumentos diseñados por ellos mismos, generando un lenguaje propio donde ritmo, timbre y proceso se vuelven protagonistas.
Con una intensidad contenida y una escucha atenta, sus directos invitan a adentrarse en la mecánica interna del sonido. En 2024 iniciaron el desarrollo del Chromaplane, un nuevo instrumento creado junto a KOMA Elektronik, expandiendo aún más su universo sonoro.

I samarbeid med Fryd Scene og Ål kulturskule inviterar Leveld Kunstnartun til konsert med Passepartout Duo. Under denne konserten skal publikum ligge på matter, og få oppleve den meditative og minimalistiske musikken til pianisten Nicoletta Favari (Italia) og perkusjonisten Christopher Salvito (USA/Italia) på nært hald. Duoen har vore på ein nær kontinuerleg verdsturné sidan dei byrja samarbeidet sitt i 2015, og erfaringane frå reisene har i stor grad prega den unike skapande prosessen deira, der dei mellom anna byggjer instrumenta sine sjølve.
I mai er duoen på residensopphald ved Leveld Kunstnartun.

This workshop will introduce the fundamentals of logic synthesis using Passepartout Duo’s free tools. Participants are invited to bring their own laptop and headphones, with the session culminating in a collective performance. More info available here.
Using multiple household radios provided by local community members and FM transmitters installed inside the theater, sounds performed by the four artists—positioned throughout the space—are transmitted through the radios, emerging from different locations, overlapping and blending with one another. As the sounds continuously shift and transform, they create a fluid and ever-changing sonic landscape.
As the outcome of residency, the completed performance will be presented to the public. An artist talk will also be held to share the background of the project, as well as the artists’ creative process and research. More info available here.
This program is part of the creative process of a performance project by Passepartout Duo, the musical duo of pianist Nicoletta Favari and percussionist Christopher Salvito, exploring the use of radio transmission technology.
While listening closely to short musical pieces and spoken descriptions transmitted through portable radios, participants are invited to take a walk together with the artists, exploring the history and landscapes of Kinosaki, as well as personal memories connected to the place.
